Hi there! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have SO much to be thankful for each and everyday, right? To give thanks, what a wonderful reason for a holiday! I've got today off so I bet you'll never guess what I have planned???? Ok, I'll give you 3 guesses and the first 2 don't count!! (he-he) Psssst, for those of you who don't me veh-wee well, I'll give you a hint ok? Sounds like..... camping!! Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!! Ok, so I'm not good with secrets, what can I say?

So whaddaya think of my little "Polly Packages" from Stamping Bella? I got another "ooooh, I like that one" from my daughter. *grin* This is the first time I've used any of my green ribbon this Christmas and I really like it. I stamped Polly onto some SU Very Vanilla and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some Bazzil red CS and stitched around the edges. I fastened three brads to the top of the image piece and adhered it with a few dimensionals. The card base is SU Very Vanilla as well, and the DP is from Stampin' Up. The DP is matted with the same Bazzil red CS punched with my Fiskars Apron Lace border punch along the bottom. I stitched around the edges of this piece too. The sentiment is from Stamping Bella and I used my oval Nesties to cut it out and emboss the edges. I finished with this great green satin ribbon and that my good friends, is Christmas card #41. Be sure to leave a comment below and I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Uggh... gotta Black Friday hangover!!

Honestly, I can't believe I was up at 2:30AM!! Yup, you read it right!! 2:30AM!! Am I CRAZY or what?? But boy did we have a good time. I'm about 99% finished with ALL my Christmas shopping. How cool is that? Hopefully, this weekend we'll get to work on decorating the house. Ooooh, can ya smell the cookies baking??? I'm gettin' SO excited!!

So, this little card represents me after we got home from shopping. I was SO in need of some serious shut eye, let me tell ya! I stamped "grumpabella" (that's SO me!) from Stamping Bella onto some SU Very Vanilla CS and colored her with my Copics. This DP is from Making Memories and I followed Bella Babe Dana's sketch for the layout. I used some SU Basic Black for the mats and then stitched around the edges. I also used my NEW Martha Stewart punch on the SU Basic Black CS under the pink DP and then added the black brads before adhering the vertical piece. I finished with this saddle stitched ribbon and there you have my Bellarific/Black Friday card combo!! Be sure to check out the other Bella Babes and the Sistahood for their take on this FABBY sketch over at Bloggabella.

Supplies:
Stamps - Grumpabella from Stamping Bella; DP - Making Memories; CS - SU Very Vanilla and Basic Black; Brads; Ribbon; Punch - Martha Stewart; Copics

That's Krafty Thursday! #5

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! My family and I are gathering at my brother's house for Thanksgiving dinner today. I fully expect to "waddle" my way back to the car afterwards!! I can smell the turkey already.... YUM!!
I DO love turkey and all those yummy fixins'... sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish, stuffing, biscuits, PUMPKIN PIE WITH LOTS of Cool Whip!!! Oh yeah!!! ***sigh*** It's time for a nap and I haven't even ate yet! (he-he) So ,what are your plans for today?? Leave a comment below and tell me what you're doing this year and I'd LOVE to know your favorite dish too!!

Ok, now even though it's Thanksgiving, The Spotted Chick never rests... so I have a card for you today and since it's Thursday, you know what that means... Yup, it's That's Krafty Thursday!! This is "staceyfishabella" from Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some SU Kraft CS and colored her with my Lyra pencils. Isn't she cute?? This sentiment is from Stamping Bella too. I stamped it onto some SU Kraft CS and adhered it to the bottom half of the card. I added some eyelet trim just above to cover the seam between the two DP's. Isn't this DP great? It's from Crate Paper and I stitched it onto the card base of SU Kraft. I stitched around the edges of the image too and finished with this ADORABLE crocheted flower that my BESTEST friend JoAnn made for me and added a brad to the center. Doesn't it work perfectly with this card??
Now That's Krafty!!

That's it for me today. My daughter and I are going to attempt the whole Black Friday thing tomorrow. We've never went shopping on Black Friday before so this should be an experience for the both of us. Yikes!! Wish me luck!

I wish each of you a blessed Thanksgiving.

It's all about finding the RIGHT tree!

Is this stamp a hoot or what?? As soon as I saw it, I HAD to have it. This is SO my kinda card. I love FUNNY!!

I started my card by stamping "Finding the right tree" by Eat Cake Graphics onto some Classic Crest CS and colored it with my Copics. I added some liquid applique to the snow and heat set for some fluff! Had to add that little spot of yellow snow there too! *grin* Ok, then I matted the image with some Bazzil green CS and stitched two different DP's from Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly collection to the card base. I cut two circles, and stamped the sentiment from Amuse on top. I finished with a button tied with twine and there you have Christmas card #40. (no days left! 4 day weekend here I come!!)
Supplies:
Stamps - Eat Cake Graphics, Amuse; DP - Cosmo Cricket "Jolly by Golly"; CS - Stampin Up Very Vanilla, Bazzil Green; Copics; Button; Twine

Happy Near Yew!

uh.... Happy Yew Near??? Wait a minute, I can do this... Happy New Year!!
Yeah, yeah - that's the ticket!!

Ok, so I think the 'ol girl had one too many "'tinis". Whaddaya think? (he-he)

I just LOVE this card. Of course, I LOVE any card with my Stella but I really LOVE how this turned out. I started with some SU Very Vanilla and stitched on this great Cosmo Cricket DP using four different patterns from the Early Bird collection. The mat behind the four squares is from the same collection and I even cut my petite circle scallops from it as well. I stamped "Stella with an olive on top" from Stamping Bella onto some SU Very Vanilla CS and colored her with my Copics. I did a little shading around the edges with some Colorbox chalk ink leaving the Nestie die in place for that great little framed edge. Now her drink needed a little bubbly, so I added some Glamour Dust to her "tini" and her wand as well. This "cheers!"sentiment is from Stamping Bella too. I finished with this green polka dot ribbon, tied in a cute little bow. ....hic-cup!! *pah-don*
Don't forget to leave a comment below and I hope you have a SUPER DUPER Tuesday! (only one day to go! YAY!)

Supplies:
Stamps - Stella with an olive on top from Stamping Bella, Cheers from Stamping Bella; DP - Cosmo Cricket Early Bird; CS - Stampin' Up Very Vanilla; Ribbon, Nestabilities; Glamour Dust

Merry Christmas from the North Pole!!

Happy Monday everyone! I know, I know, what's so HAPPY about Monday, right??? Well, how 'bout we got a FOUR DAY WEEKEND COMING??? Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Wah-hoo!!! And boy do I have a week of cards in store for you. Were you impressed with last week's cards?? I sure was, and this week's are just as GREAT... if I do say so myself!! I'm definitely on a roll with my Christmas cards.

This little fella is from Whipper Snapper Designs. Ain't he cute? Ya gotta love WS stamps, right? They just melt your heart. To begin my card, I stitched this DP from American Crafts "merrymint" collection onto the card base. Then,I stamped my little guy onto some Classic Crest CS and colored him with my Copics. I cut him out with an Exacto knife and adhered him with several dimensionals to the bottom of the DP. Then I cut waves from a coordinating sheet of DP and made polka dot snow!! Who says snow can't have polka dots? Works for me! Whadda I know, I'm a Florida girl. LOL Each layer of snow is adhered with dimensionals, so the card has a really cool 3D effect to it. To finish, I printed this digital sentiment from Whimsie Doodles and threaded this yummy chocolate ribbon through. There you have Christmas card #39. Be sure to leave a comment below and let me know what you think of my little guy. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE hearing from you? I do, I do, I do!! Have a WONDERFUL Monday! (only two days to go!)

Supplies:
Stamps - Whipper Snapper Designs; Digital Image - Whimsie Doodles; Copics; SU Dimensionals; Ribbon - Michael's; DP - American Crafts "merrymint"; CS - Classic Crest

It's Bellarific Friday!!

So whaddaya think of my little Bella Valentine???? Hey, might as well get a head start on them, right? It'll be here before you know it. This week's Bellarific Friday theme was anything Bella. Doesn't get any easier than that!

I stamped "Balloonabella" from Stamping Bella onto some Classic Crest CS and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with an Exacto knife and adhered her to this scalloped circle with a few dimensionals. The scalloped circle was part of this DP pack from My Minds Eye. Cute, cute, cute paper!!! This is one of my favorite DP companies too. I love their paper packs! I'm such a paper junkie!! I used some cream eyelet trim between the two DP's and added this twill ribbon tied in a sweet bow. The card base is SU Very Vanilla and I stitched around the edges and finished with a cute little button to match. I WUV her!! Ok, be sure to leave a comment below and hop on over to Bloggabella and check out what the other Babe's came up with. I am SO honored to be a part of this FABBY DT!! These ladies are AWESOME and always amaze me with their talent. Ok, that does it for me today, I'm off to the Women of Faith convention in Fort Lauderdale with my daughter and Mom. Should be a GREAT girl weekend!! Yay! Have a GREAT day and a SUPER weekend!

That's Krafty Thursday! #4

Happy That's Krafty Thursday #4!! I decided to make a tri-fold card and incorporate a window in the front and the image on the inside. At first, I wasn't sure I liked the idea but when I finished it, I really love how it turned out.

This piece of Kraft CS is 12.75" long. I scored it at 4.25" from both sides and then cut a circle in the front panel with my Coluzzle cutting template. I used some Bazzil aqua colored CS for the frame on the front, and I cut it out with the Coluzzle as well. To make the scalloped edge, I punched circles and then cut them in half and glued them to the back of the frame. The window is a SU transparency sheet with snowflakes on it and I couldn't wait to find a use for it. I glued it to the back of the frame as well and then adhered it to the front of the card. I used the negative circle for a mask on the inside panel. This way the coloring is exactly the same shape and size as the frame. This is "Ice Skater" from Elzybells. They have the cutest little stamps and I thought she was just perfect for my theme. I stamped the trees in the background for a little greenery and added a little hint of snow to them too. You can click on the picture to see it up close. I'm not sure the picture does it justice, it looks so pretty in real life. I stamped Happy Holidays from Amuse in Versamark and embossed with some SU white embossing powder. I also stamped some snowflakes on the card front in both SU Cool Carribean and a few in Palette Canvas. To finish, I added some satin ribbon and tied my little card closed. There you have Christmas card #38! Whew!! This card took me over 2 hours to complete! Now That's Krafty!! Leave a comment below, I'd love to hear what you think of her! Be sure to stop in tomorrow for Bellarific Friday! Happy That's Krafty Thursday!

Supplies:
Stamps - Elzybells, Amuse, Cornish Heritage Farms; Lyra Pencils; CS - Neenah Kraft, Bazzil aqua; SU Transparency; DP - Basic Grey; Punch - EK Success 7/8" Circle; Coluzzle; SU White Embossing Powder

In a State of Pain..

Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Is she a RIOT or what? I bet if I were the one who was sick, I wouldn't be laughing huh? This card is for a friend of mine at work who had an emergency appendectomy!! Yikes!! So I wanted to make her a cute little card in hopes that she's on her way to a speedy recovery.

I stamped "Feelabella" from Stamping Bella onto some SU Very Vanilla CS and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my circle Nesties and matted her with some SU Soft Suede. This DP is from Recollections and I found it at Michael's. Can ya tell I had fun shopping this past Wednesday? *grin* And my hubby thought I was Christmas shopping..... bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Just kidding, I really did go Christmas shopping and got about 75% done!!! Woo-hoo!! I love being ahead of the game!

Anyway, this DP has this great coordinating sheet that has all these crazy license plates on it, so I cut this one out and used it to create my layout for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #91.

Did you guys know that I was picked as one of Taylor's TOP CROPS last week? I was SO excited!! You can see her post here. Yippee-skippee! Ok, so I stitched around the edges of the two top DP squares and finished with this great polka dot ribbon from Stampin' Up. Ok, be sure to leave a comment below and let me know what you think of her. Have a great Wednesday and stop back by tomorrow for That's Krafty Thursday. I got a REAL CUTIE to show you!

Christmas don't be late....

I SO wished I lived where it SNOWED. I know, everyone says I wouldn't say that if I had to LIVE WITH IT, but I can only imagine how neat it must be to have SEASONS!!!

This is Mary and Mr. Meow from Eat Cake Graphics and I stamped them onto some SU Very Vanilla and colored them with my beloved Copics! I added some Liquid Applique to the window snow and sprinkled on some Glamour Dust while it was still wet. Then comes MY FAVORITE PART, heating it up! Man, I'm just like a kid when I do this. It makes me smile every time when I see it puff up. I matted the image with some SU Real Red CS and adhered to the card with a few dimensionals. The card base is SU Very Vanilla and I stitched on this cute Cosmo Cricket paper. I cut the holly border from a coordinating sheet of DP and then punched a scrap piece of SU Very Vanilla with my Martha Stewart snowflake border punch and placed on top for a little contrast. To finish, I tied on this great ribbon from SU and there you have Christmas card #37. Be sure to leave a comment below and have a SUPER Tuesday!

Stamps - Eat Cake Graphics, CS - SU Very Vanilla & Real Red; Copics; Ribbon - SU; DP - Cosmo Cricket; Liquid Applique; Punch - Martha Stewart Border Punch

Stamping Bella's SUH-WEET Shop!

Now what could be better than something SUH-WEET on a Monday morning? I am just thrilled with how this card turned out. I wanted to create a candy store window and I think I came pretty close don't you? This little stamp is "candy jar with holly" from Stamping Bella and it comes with two sentiments. I used the "sweet wishes" on the candy label. I stamped my candy jar and sentiment onto some Classic Crest CS and colored with my Copics. I matted it with some DCWV burgundy CS and put a tranparency sheet over top and then stitched around the edges to create the window look! I picked up this American Crafts DP at Michael's during my shopping spree this past Wednesday (hey, I HAD to pick up something for myself!), and I just love all the embossed papers in it. Oh, and I got the ribbon there as well. Isn't that silver edging cool? I thought it went really well with the chocolate in these papers too. I matted the DP with the same burgundy CS and then stitched around the edges and adhered to the card base of SU Chocolate Chip. I punched the edge of a coordinating peice of paper from the pack with my Martha Stewart border punch for the awning and then stitched the top edge and scored a fold a little further down so it would stick out a little over the window. SUH-WEET huh?? Ok, be sure to leave a comment below and let me know what you think of Christmas card #36. I see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! Yay! Have a great day!!

Supplies:
Stamps - Candy jar with holly from Stamping Bella; CS - Classic Crest, SU Chocolate Chip, DCWV Burgundy; Transparency; Copics; Ribbon; DP - American Crafts Merrymint

Harriet all dressed for Christmas!!

It's Friday and you know what that means... yup, it's Bellarific Friday!! This week's theme is "Wild Card" so anything goes! Woo-hoo! As you all know, I'm still working steady on my Christmas cards, so I gussied Harriet up all Christmas-ee and I think she's purr-dee!!

I started by stamping her onto some SU Very Vanilla CS and colored her with my Copics to match this cute DP from My Minds Eye. Love those polka dots, so I HAD to color her cupcakes to match. My niece is THE CUPCAKE QUEEN and loves ANYTHING to do with cupcakes, so this little card will be perfect for her this Christmas. Pssst! She's just as cute as Harriet too! he-he! I know she's gonna love this card!
To add a little contrast to the polka dots, I used another coordinating piece of DP for the lower portion of the card, and added a scalloped lacy border on the top and the bottom. I matted the DP with some burgundy CS from DCWV and stitched around the edges. Of course, ya'll know me and my ribbon - can't have a card without it hardly.... so, I added this gor-juss striped ribbon tied in a big 'ol bow and a burgundy button in the center. Hey, the bigger the bow the better! LOVE IT!! Ok, so I cut Harriet out with my oval Nesties and adhered her to the card with a few dimensionals. This sentiment is by Stamping Bella too, and I thought it was the perfect addition to my SUH-WEET card. To finish my little Christmas cutie, I added some Glamour Dust to the tops of the cupcakes (hey, gotta have sprinkles!) and a gem to the flower in her hair. And there you have Christmas card #35!! Yay!!

Be sure to leave a comment below and tell me what you think of my little Christmas Harriet. I'd love to hear from you and I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend!!

Don't forget to stop over at Bloggabella today and see what eye-candy da Bella Babes have created. Oh, and not to mention the sistahood, man have they been AWESOME these past week's or what?? Gotta check 'em out!!

That's Krafty Thursday! #3

Happy That's Krafty Thursday everyone!! I don't think I could ever get tired of Kraft paper. I REALLY do love this stuff. This is Sanders from Whipper Snapper Designs. He's just so stinkin' cute, isn't he? This was a fairly simple card to put together and I LOVE how it turned out.

I started by stamping Sanders onto
some Classic Crest CS and colored him with my Copics to match this DP from Bella Blvd. I used Bazzil red CS to mat the DP and the image with, and used a coordinating piece from the paper pack for the green strip on the bottom. The December 25th label is from the sheet of labels included in the pack and I cut it out with a circle Nestie. I finished with this AWESOME ribbon from Stampin' Up and some gold Stickles on his bell. Christmas card #34, all done! This is definitely one of my FAV's for this Christmas season! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think of him. Oh and be sure to stop back by tomorrow for Bellarific Friday! I just LOVE my card and my daughter did too! I got an, "Ooooh, I really like this one!" when she saw it. I can't wait to show YOU! Have a great day!

Rubber Stamps - Whipper Snapper Designs; CS - Classic Crest, Bazzil Red; Ribbon - Stampin' Up; DP - Bella Blvd; Copics; Stickles; Nestabilities

Hey honey - I found the perfect tree!!

This looks like a tree my daughter would pick out. Seriously, if it doesn't take up every square inch of my living room, it's NOT big enough! All but one year, that is... I have to tell you this little story. One year we went tree shopping and while the man was showing us tree after tree, my daughter spots this tree by itself in the corner and decides it's "lonely" and needs a home. Ok, so it's about 4' tall and about the same size AROUND!! It looked just like a beach ball. So I'm asking her, are you SURE this is the one you want? (ya know, that way we as Mom's use when we're trying to talk them outta somethin') She's like,"yes, we have to give it a home." That's what I get for letting her watch Charlie Brown's Christmas too many times, good grief! So needless to say, I received numerous comments that Christmas when visitors would come by and see my little lit up BEACH BALL in the corner. What can I say? We gave it a home alright, and it made for a pretty good replica of the Times Square ball for New Year's Eve too! *grin*

Ok, on to the card... This is "car with a tree on top" from Stamping Bella. Huh, wonder how Em came up with that name? (LOL) Hey, it is what it is!! I stamped my image onto some Classic Crest CS and colored with my Copics. This DP is from Bella Blvd and it just came in over the weekend. I couldn't wait to use it. I love the mistletoe paper in the background and how the tree paper coordinates with it perfectly. The card base and mats are DCWV Burgundy and I stitched around the edges of each layer. I used my EK Success corner rounder on the tree paper and mat and used my SU Scalloped border punch on the vertical border. I punched a slot with the SU Horizontal punch on the image piece, threaded the ribbon through and finished with some Crystal Effects on the lights and Glamour Dust on the star. Just what everyone needs, a tree that's twice as big as their CAR! (he-he) Oh, I almost forgot, this DP paper pack came with an entire sheet of phrases and labels, so I cut this Merry Christmas out with my pinking shears and added it to the bottom of the card. And that Ladies and Gents (I doubt I have any Gents but just in case), is Christmas card #33. Leave a comment below and let me know what you think and stop in tomorrow for THAT'S KRAFTY THURSDAY! Have a GREAT day!

Supplies:
Rubber Stamp - Car with a tree on top from Stamping Bella; CS - DCWV and Classic Crest; Copics; Ribbon - Stampin' Up; Punch - Stampin' Up Horizontal Slot & Scalloped Border, EK Success corner rounder; Crystal Effects; Glamour Dust

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Isn't this a SWEET image? I just fell in love with it when I saw it. This is Em from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop. She has the cutest images there and I love that they're digital!! How cool is that? For one thing, you have your image INSTANTLY (no waiting for your order to arrive), second - you can size it to whatever size you need for your project, and lastly - NO STORAGE!! See - I told you it was COOL!! I picked up several images recently and I hope to use more of them as I continue with my Christmas cards.

So for my card today, I began by printing my image onto some Classic Crest CS first. I had already set aside this pretty paper from Basic Grey to use and then I colored my image to match. I sponged on some Colorbox Chalk Ink to age the edges of the image and then I matted her onto some SU Chocolate Chip and then again on SU Cool Carribean. The DP is double sided - LOVE THAT! So the bottom polka dots you see are the reverse side of this paper. I stitched around the edges of the DP and the matted image too. I cut a scalloped circle with my Nesties from the SU Chocolate Chip and placed that behind my matted image. I printed out the sentiment, applied some chalk ink to it as well and punched it out with my EK Success scalloped circle. I tied on this pretty satin ribbon and there you have Christmas card #32! I hope you like her, I think she's adorable. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think, 'k?
I LOVEEEE comments!!!

Okee dokee, have a SUPER DUPER Tuesday and I'm SLEEPIN' IN tomorrow cuz' I've got the day off!! Yay!!!

Supplies:
Digital Image - Mo's Digital Pencil Shop; DP - Basic Grey; CS - SU Chocolate Chip & Cool Carribean, Classic Crest; Punch - EK Success; Ribbon - Offray; Nestabilities; Copics

This weeks Bellarific Friday theme is a "Wild Card". Hey, that's easy peasy right? I can't wait to show you what I've come up with. It's a doosey!! Wanna play? Check out the Stamping Bella Blog - Bloggabella for all the details.

Joy to the world...

...the Lord has come, let earth receive her king! I am SO into the Christmas spirit now!! Can ya tell? I've got my list made and I'm ready to SHOP!! Woo-hoo!! So whadaya think of the little Choir here? I just think they're the BESTEST! See their little hymn books? Cute-cute-cute!!

This is The Choir from Stamping Bella. I stamped them onto some Classic Crest CS and colored them with my Copics. I cut them out with my oval Nesties and then matted them with some SU Real Red CS cut with the scalloped oval Nesties. I've just had this idea to put SU Real Red and Chocolate Chip together for so long, I decided I better go ahead and do it so I can get the idea out of my head. Hmmmmm, wonder why I keep thinking about Chocolate Chip??? I KNOW, I'm thinking about Christmas candy and cookies!! Oh yeah, CHOCOLATE, CHOCOLATE and MORE CHOCOLATE!! Deee-lish!

Photobucket

I embossed the background Bazzil Bling brown CS with my Cuttlebug embossing folder for some texture and added these cute little cherry brads (see more candy talk) from American Crafts. This DP is from Basic Grey and I matted it with the SU Real Red too! I finished with this polka dot ribbon from Jillibean Soup and there you have, Christmas card number 31!! Yay!

I hope you all have a great day today. I've got Wednesday off so I'm SUPAH excited. Yipppeeee!!

It's Bellarific Friday!

Happy Friday all! It's Bellarific Friday today. This week's theme is Christmas. How cool was that? You guys know how many cards I still have left to do so this was a great challenge for me.

I stamped Snowy House from Stamping Bella onto some Classic Crest CS and colored it with my Copics. I used the colors in this great DP from My Minds Eye for inspiration. It's not your traditional Christmas colors for sure, but that's why I love it so. Ya know, when you make this many Christmas cards, red and green get a little old so these colors were a FRESH look for me. Hey Christmas is bright and fun so why not, right? What a wonderful time of the year, don't you agree? Everyone is SO happy and cheerful. I just love it. Not to mention the shopping too! *grin*

I added some Glamour Dust to the roof, snowflake and ground for a little snow shimmer and used my Nestie tag die to cut out the sentiment. I pulled this ribbon from my stash and it matched this DP perfectly and fit the Nestie tag slots too. Hey, they're a match made for each other!! I used the reverse side of this paper for a contrasting border and punched both sides with my EK Success border punch. I stitched the DP around the edges to finish and there you have Christmas card #30!! Be sure to hop over to Bloggabella and check out the other Bella Babes' creations and of course the AWESOME sistahood too! Have a wonderful weekend!

That's Krafty Thursday! #2

Hi there! It's time again for another That's Kraft Thursday! Don't ya just LOVEEE this image? Oh my, I think he's just SO STINKIN cute! I made this card for a coworker of mine who is a total book lover!! I needed a little thank you card for him so I decided to use this stamp and place a book store gift card inside. Great idea huh? This little guy is Spencer the Bookworm from none other than Stamping Bella. Uh, isn't that name perfect for him? SPENCER!! (wuv it!)

So I stamped Spencer onto some Papertrey Ink CS and colored him with my Copics. I used this great DP from Recollections that I picked up at Michael's recently. Have you guys seen this paper line? It's all color coordinated! Kinda like Granimals!! ..member those?? It's like paper matching for dummies!! Yeah, I'm cool with that! I cut little Spencer out with my circle Nesties and matted him with another Nestie circle using SU Soft Suede. Man, am I gonna be bummed when I run out of this color. LOVE it! I then used my scalloped circle Nestie with some SU Kraft CS for the bottom mat. The two DP's are separated with a border of SU Kraft CS punched on both sides with my Fiskars border punch and then stitched to the mat of SU Soft Suede. I added this cute checked brown ribbon and adhered it to the card base of SU Kraft CS. The sentiment is from Stamping Bella too and fits perfectly with my theme and gift idea. How's that for That's Krafty Thursday!? Be sure to leave a comment below and stop back by tomorrow for Bellarific Friday. Have a great day!

Brrrr, it's cold outside...

NOT!!! At least not here, anyway. We're still experiencing SUPER DUPER HOT days here in Florida. Kinda hard to get in the COOL spirit with this heat but I'm tryin. This is Christmas card #29. I'm a gettin' there! This cute little stamp is from Whipper Snapper Designs. I can just imagine him having this deep slow giggle. Uh-huh-huh-huh,uh-huh-huh-huh! Too funny! If you've never visited Whipper Snapper, you've gotta check out their Winter stamps. They really are SO super cute, especially if you're a cute stamp junkie like me!

Anyhoo, I started with this cute DP from My Minds Eye and colored my little cuddly bear to match with my Copics. I cut him out using my oval Nestie and used the scalloped oval Nestie to mat him with. The sentiment is from Amuse and I stamped it with some Versamark ink and then heat embossed some SU white embossing powder on top. To finish, I tied on this great new saddle stitched ribbon from SU and there you have it. Too cool huh? Be sure to leave a comment below and stop back by tomorrow to see what I have in store for you on That's Krafty Thursday! I promise, you're gonna LOVE it! Have a great day!

Over the river and through the wood....

...to Grandfather's house we go; the horse knows the way, to carry the sleigh, through the white and drifted snow, Oh! *grin* I've been humming this song the whole time I was making this card... I think it turned out really cute. Check out the little tag on the front of the jeep! Now that's the Christmas spirit!! I bet their singing Christmas carols inside too! Woo-hoo, my kinda bunch! Take me, take me!

This is my submission to the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #89. It's been awhile since I've done one of Taylor's challenges, so I thought I'd join this week's fun. This was a great sketch too! I stamped "Getting the Family Tree" from Eat Cake Graphics onto some Classic Crest CS and colored them with my Copics to match this great DP from Basic Grey. Of course, I HAD to pick some DP with Christmas trees, right? I matted the image with some burgundy CS from DCWV and the card base is Bazzil green. I stitched around the edges of the image and the card base and to complete the sketch design, I added this Happy Holidays stamp from the SU set "Riveting". Now a card just isn't complete without ribbon right, so I finished with some twill ribbon tied in a cute little bow. You like?? Me too!! Be sure to leave a comment below and I hope you have a great day. Ok, back to the song.... over the river and through the wood.. la-la, la-la, la-la!!!

FREE Snowman Hugs

Happy Monday!! So are you all still tired from all that hoppin' on Saturday?? Whew, I sure am. My legs feel like rubbah. {he-he} But man was that fun! Can't wait for the next one.... Woo-hoo!

So whaddaya think of my little snowman here? My hubby really liked this card so it must be pretty good. He's a tough nut to crack! I'm trying to do some really different Christmas cards this year and I thought a little monochromatic card might be kinda neat. This is Christmas card #27 for those of you keeping track. I'm gettin' there... I picked this DP from Cosmo Cricket to start with and just went with the colors (or lack of) in it. I stamped Snowman Hugs from Whipper Snapper onto some SU Very Vanilla and colored him with my Copics. I used some distress ink around the edges and added some Diamond Dust to the snow and to the punched snowflake as well. I stitched around the edges and added a border using the reverse side of this DP, punched with the Martha Stewart border punch right below the ribbon. Oh and the ribbon, isn't it GREAT? It's from Stamp Simply Ribbon. Love, love, love this ribbon!! I used two sizes here and tied a button in the middle to finish. I think he turned out SO super cute, don't you?
