Oh, but you don't hafta worry one little bit, cuz da Chicken will be back rarin' to go! I'll even have some pics of the new coop to boot!! Whooopeeee! You have no idea how excited I am over this. It's like a dream come true for me. Ok, I better stop now or I'll start bawlin'! Good grief!

So to leave you today, I thought I'd make ya something that'll kinda remind you of me MOVIN' ON DOWN THE HIGHWAY!! Woo-hoo!! This is Roadster Nikki from Ladybug Crafts Ink. I just LOVE this little gal! She's so cute and classy too! She reminds me of my daughter and her dog Lily. Tee-hee! Ok, so I stamped Nikki onto some Fanboy CS and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Basic Black CS and stitched around the edges. I sponged a little ink around the edges too and used a few dimensionals to adhere her to this GREAT DP from October Afternoon called Road Map. How perfect is that? I matted the DP with some SU Real Red and then onto some white, and finally onto the SU Basic Black cardbase. I stitched around the edges and finished with this computer generated sentiment and I tied this pretty red saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow with a button on top!! Ain't she a doll??

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house for the next coupla' months. Be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know whatcha think 'bout Nikki, k? And drop back in the coop any 'ol time you think you may have forgotten what the hen house looks like for a little refresher. Ya know, companee's always welcome! Put yer feet up and stay awhile! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Hey there hens! Hope you all had a FANTASTIC weekend! The hubby and I have gotten a jump start on the renovations. Woo-hoo!! Needless to say, I had a GREAT weekend!

I did get a chance to make a coupla cards though.... However, today's card comes with a bit of sad news, as it will be my last card as a member of the Baker's Dozen Design Team. I have decided not to renew my contract and focus on my "new hen house in the making!" Yippeeee! It has been an honor to be a part of this team. Seriously, this is one TALENTED buncha ladies!! They are ALL so AMAAAAAZING and I will miss them dearly. BUT, that won't stop me from stalkin' their blogs!!! LOL! Love you guys!!!

I made this card using one of my favorite Taylored Expressions sets called, Doctor's Orders. A friend of ours is ill and I thought I'd send him a little pick me up card to brighten his day. I'm sure he'll get a chuckle out of it! I stamped my little nurse onto one of the labels in my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Crafting Kit and colored her with my Copics. I matted the label with some SU Natural Ivory CS and then again with some SU Real Red. I matted the DP, also from the same CC collection, with the SU Real Red and stitched around the edges. I stamped the sentiment from the same set, and tied this saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow! I just LOVEEEE this little card. It just makes me smile!! Okee dokee, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think. I'll see ya back in the hen house tomorrow morning!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Woo-hoo!! Yep, it's that time again.... time for another Catch the Bug challenge! This week's challenge is Dog Days of Summer! You can use any animal you like, not just dogs but we've combined a color challenge too! Ooooooh, and you thought this was an easy one huh??? Eh, it's not that bad.... just use neutrals (white, ivory, kraft/brown, or black) + 1 color. See easy peasy right? Today I used "Itchy Dog" from Bugaboo Stamps. I printed him out onto some Fanboy CS and colored him with my Copics. I cut him out with my circle Nesties and sponged some ink around the edges. This DP is from the Max and Whiskers collection from Basic Grey and I matted it with some Bazzil rust and SU Very Vanilla CS and stitched around the edges. To finish, I added this dotted ribbon, and for something a little different, I threaded it through the button and tied a simple knot. You likee?

Be sure to leave me a cluck below and let me know whatcha think, k? I'm MELTING!!

Hey hens!! Warm hugs from Florida!!
Pffft!! Yeah right, warm my foot!! More like ROASTIN' hugs!! Hmmph! Ok, I won't carry on about how miserable it is here but let's just put it this way.... when da Chicken ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy! Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Now hurry up with da COLD air already!!! LOL!

Ok, so I stamped "Mavis in her Kini" onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Real Red CS and stitched around the edges. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Snorkel collection and the Sand DP is by Frances Meyer. I was trying to achieve a sun on the horizon look but I'm not sure if it looks like that or not. I cut two pieces of the sand DP with a wavy top edge and tucked Mavis behind it so it would look like she was in the sand. To finish, I added this red striped ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow!

Now don't forget to fly on over to Bloggabella and feast your eyes on all that eye candy from da sistahood!! Oh my goodness!! I've been totally blown away by all the GREAT entries into the Bella Babe contest. Soon we'll know who the LUCKY hen is too!! Woo-hoo!! I can hardly contain myself!! Awwwwkkkk!! That's Krafty Thursday #40

Hey hens, it's another That's Krafty Thursday and here's a little card I made for my DH. He LOVES to fish whenever he gets the chance, but that never seems to be often enough. LOL!!

This little guy is called "catch of the day" from Stamping Bella. I stamped him onto some of Bella's Bestest paper and colored him with my Copics. I matted him with the reverse side of this DP from Scrapbook Walls and stitched around the edges. Now since this is for my DH, NO WAY should there be any ribbon on it, right? WRONG! Pffft! So, I snuck this little piece under the button just for grins! LOL!! Next, I stamped the sentiment, also from Stamping Bella, and matted it with the DP too! I finished by adding a little shine to the fishing reel and eyes with my gold glaze pen and there ya have it! Okee dokee, that's it for this week's That's Krafty Thursday.

Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think and I'll see ya back in the hen house tomorrow for Bellarific Friday. This is the last week of the Bella Babe challenges in the hunt for a new Babe and we'll soon know who my new sistah is. Woo-hoo!! This has been so much fun! I can hardly wait! Ok, you hens have a TERRIFIC Thursday!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Boo!

Awww, she's not so scary now is she?? This is "little witchy" from Stamping Bella. She's too cute to be a witch! LOL!

Today I decided to play along with this week's Friday Sketcher's Challenge #116.

I stamped little witchy onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my oval Nesties (which I hardly ever use! - why is that?) and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. I matted her with some SU Basic Black CS and then placed some pearly purple brads in the corners. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Matilda collection and I used my large scalloped Nesties for the circle piece under the image. The bottom DP also has brads in each corner but I used some shiney black ones for this piece. To finish, I added the computer generated sentiment and added some grosgrain ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow!

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today! See ya back here bright and early tomorrow mornin' for That's Krafty Thursday #40!! Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Some good news and bad....

Let's start with da good.... Meet Robyn! Isn't she just the cutest little girl? Awww, lookit that lil' face...... Don'tcha just wanna squeeze her, she's so stinkin' cute?? LOL!! This is another FABULOUS image from none other than Ladybug Crafts Ink! Robyn has her own lil' collection too! I had WAY too hard a time tryin' to figure out which cute image I wanted to get! *sigh* Decisions - decisions..... Ahhh, the life of a stamper!! Tee-hee!!

I started by stamping Robyn onto some Fanboy CS and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my circle Nesties and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. This DP is from Bella Blvd. and I used my SU scalloped border punch along the vertical edge separating the two DP's. I love the bright colors in this collection. So fun for a birthday card, don'tcha think? Next, I added some of these Turquoise Epoxy Dots to the upper right hand corner and some Glamour Dust to the candle flame for a little bit of sparkle. To finish, I stamped the sentiment (also from LCI) and tied this AWESOME twill ribbon Kerry sent me, into a cute bubbly bow! Ain't she GREAT? Be sure to pop on over to Ladybug Crafts Ink and check out the whole Robyn collection and while you're there, check out all the cute images Kerry just added for the holidays. Oh that reminds me, gotta get working on those Christmas cards.... Yikes!!

Now onto da bad news.... well, it's actually good news in the long run but bad news for now. My hubby and I are embarking on a home remodeling project beginning in September. Now what's so exciting about that you ask??? Well, the remodel INCLUDES my craft room!! Woo-hoo! Yep, the Spotted Chick's gettin' herself a new hen house! Aawwwwwwk!! Yep, this hen's pretty excited 'bout the whole thing. But in order for us to do this, I won't be able to make any cards with my room tore apart and everything in boxes. Soooooo, I will be taking a little hiatus from cardmaking beginning September 1st and if all goes as planned, I'll be back on November 1st with pictures of my new coop! Woo-hoo! So until then, I hope da hens understand and will wait for me.... pretty pleeeeease??? LOL!! Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net {{{hen hugs}}}

Ok, that's it from the OLD hen house today! Tee-hee!! Be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know whatcha think of Robyn, k? I'll see ya back in the coop on Wednesday for another "bewitching" Halloween card. Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!

Ain't she a beaut??? This is "Ambitious Cowgirl" from Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some PTI Dark Chocolate CS and stitched around the edges. This DP is from one of my new stacks from Cosmo Cricket called Wanted! I matted the DP with the same CS, stitched around the edges and then added these little star brads to each corner giving it a true Western feel. Yee-haw!
To finish, I tied this great saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and added the sentiment (also from Stamping Bella) below. Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today! This week's entries were ALL amazing and I know I say this each time but it's REALLY tough to choose, because you are ALL winners to me!! I am simply amazed with just how KRAFTY you hens are! Okee dokee, let's see who this week's TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS are.... drumroll pleeease!

Now I also wanted to give an honorable mention to three NEWBIES to the cardmaking blogland and would be thrilled to bits if you hens would fly over and visit each of their blogs to show your support. I know from experience, a new blog can be SUPER intimidating and each comment is worth a million clucks!! LOL!! Here are their FABULOUS cards from this TKT 38 challenge.

Just click on each thumbnail above to go directly to their blogs. Best of cluck with your new blogs Kerri, JoAnn and Anita!! You hens are off to a great start!! Woo-hoo!!

Now for my card today, it's another Oldie but Goodie day over at Catch the Bug! You hens know how much I LOVEEE Bugaboo Stamps right? Well, I've been absolutely dying to use this one. OMG, is Mildred not a hoot??? Oh man, she cracks me up!! That sentiment is the best! The inside reads, "I'm running out of places to hide the bodies!" Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! OMG, I'm gonna pee my pants on that one! That's what's so great about Bugaboo Stamps, did you know you get the sentiments too! And they come as separate files so you can use the image with or without the sentiment. LOVE THAT!

I printed Mildred onto some Fanboy CS and colored her with my Copics. I printed the image again, but onto the DP this time, so I could cut out her dress. Now that's some easy peasy paper piecing!! LOL!! I followed this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #81 for my layout and I really like how this turned out.

Again, I used my new Cosmo Cricket Pixie Licious paper pad and matted it with some teal CS and then onto the Kraft cardbase. I printed the sentiment separate and then punched it out with my SU large oval punch and matted it with the teal CS punched with the SU scalloped oval punch. To finish, I tied this pretty pastel pink ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and added some shine to her spectacles with my glaze pen!

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today! Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think, k? I hope you hens have a T-RIFIC Thursday! {{{hen hugs}}}

My cat's not SPOILED!!

I'm just WELL TRAINED!! This card describes my friend Meahni to a TEE!! OMG, that little Jingle is SO spoiled it's not funny! LOL!! You've gotta check out her blog and see the photos of her babies. Little Jingle has a pretty pink nose and Meahni said she's gonna put sunscreen on it in the summer!! Pffft!! I told ya he was SPOILED!!
Ok, so for my card today I decided to use this image from the Pet's Place set from Taylored Expressions. I really like this set, and if you're a pet lover like Meahni and I, this is the set for you!! Another great thing about this set is, during the months of June, July and August, $7.00 will be donated to the Humane Society for each set sold. How great is that? So be sure to get your set ordered this month so you can help out too!! Yay!

So I stamped the image onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics to match Meahni and Jingle. LOL!! I matted the image with some Frosted Amethyst CS and adhered it to the DP with a few dimensionals. This DP is another one of my new paper pads from Cosmo Cricket called Pixie Licious. SOOOO pretty!! I punched the border behind the image with my Martha Stewart border punch and then tied this pretty purple saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and added the sentiment to finish!!

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today! Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think! Don't forget, you have until tonight at 7:00pm EST to enter my That's Krafty Thursday challenge. Just link your card to my August 12th post below and YOU could be the next KRAFTY CHICK!! Another burf-day!

.... and they just keepa comin' don't they? B'fore ya know it, here comes another! Shooweee, they come around faster than a chicken on a June bug! LOL!!

Ok, so I wanted to make a funny birthday card today, and I decided to use this little girl who don't look none too happy! She kinda looks like somebody just stole her cookie don't she? Yep, I'd be some kinda upset if somebody took my cookie too! Uh-huh, don't be messin' with da hen's sugah now! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!

So I stamped my image called "Jill is Two" from Stamping Bella onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my circle Nestabilities and sponged some ink around the edges. I matted her with this Cosmo Cricket DP from the Early Bird collection cut out with my new Nestabilities Label Three set. I just LOVE the shape of these dies. It reminds me of a circle and square mat all in one. Super cute!!

So lemme tell you 'bout how I got this set..... So I come home from work last week and there's this package in my mailbox. Woo-hoo!! I SO LOVEEE packages!! So I immediately tear it open, and paper bits are just a flyin!! (Note - never send the chicken a package you don't want me to open! Pffft, whoever heard of such a thing!) So I see this die set inside and I know I've been wanting it like FOREVER and a day, but I can't remember ordering it. Well, the ol' noggin ain't what it used to be so I'm thinking maybe I ordered it a long time ago and it's been on backorder or something. But then the 'ol brain cells kick in gear and I read the packing slip, and the buyer is none other than my BFF from South Africa Meahni!!! Awwwwww, now ain't that just the suh-weetest thing ever??? She had it shipped directly to me!! I had seen her use this set on her blog many times and I had commented on getting it but never did. Well of course, I HAD to break it in straight away and use it on today's card! Woo-hoo!! Thank you SO MUCH Meahni! You're the BESTEST!! Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

Ok, so I matted the DP with some SU Real Red CS and then again on SU Natural Ivory. I used my SU scalloped border punch along the edges of the vertical center piece but it's not very visable in the photo. To finish, I tied this pretty saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and attached the sentiment to the image with a tiny red brad.

Oh, I wanted to remind the hens that today begins this week's Tantalizing Tooosdays over at Stamping Bella. Be sure to check it out. Nothin like a good sale to brighten a hen's day!

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today! Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think, k? {{{hen hugs}}}

Trick or Treat!!

Hey there hens!!! Hope ya'll had a great weekend!! We had a FANTASTIC birthday party for Dinky! She LOVED it, and when we got home she said, "that was the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! Of course, Momma hen was purty proud of herself. Everything turned out better than expected. LOVE it when that happens!!

For today's card, I couldn't resist using my new Cosmo Cricket paper pad "Haunted". So I went digging for the purfect image to pair it with and decided on this SUPER cute trio from Stamping Bella called "The mummy, the witch, and the pirate" I think they're just adorable, don't you? Ok, so I stamped them onto Bella's Bestest paper and colored them with my Copics. I cut them out with my oval Nesties and sponged around the edges. If you'd like to see how I do that technique you can watch my video tutorial HERE. I also thought the little white picket fence would look cute behind them so I mounted that towards the bottom and then stitched around the edges. I tied on this purple grosgrain ribbon and matted the piece onto some purple CS and then onto the SU Basic Black cardbase.

Trick or treat, smell my feet, gimme sumthin' good to eat!! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! That's it from the hen house today, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think, k? Hope you hens all have a great day and I'll see ya back in the coop on Wednesday! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's off to School we go!!

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to school we go!!! Tee-hee!! Eh, work-school, same difference!! LOL!! This week's Catch the Bug challenge theme is Back to School, with a Primary color challenge as well. I decided to use "Caution - Stella" from Bugaboo Stamps, since she reminds me of a school crossing guard. Now I don't know about the crossing guards in your town, but they take their job BIG TIME serious here! You better not blow through one of their zones or you'll get the finger! Not "THE FINGER" finger, but the finger shake! Now I'll admit, I'm a slowpoke driver and I NEVER speed, so if they ever shake their finger at me, it'll upset me for the rest of the day! I hate getting yelled at and that's what I think the "shaking finger" is like. What a wienie.... Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

Ok, so I printed Stella onto some Fanboy CS and colored her with my Copics. I sponged some ink around the edges and stitched her to some SU Basic Black CS. This DP is from DCWV Hittin the Books collection and I just love that blackboard paper, don't you? I added one of the plaid DP's on the bottom half of the card and then stitched the DP to some orange Bazzill CS. I tied this pretty orange saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and matted the panel onto the SU Basic Black cardbase. This little phrase was cut from a sheet of labels included in the paper pad. I finished by adding some blue glitter to her eyeshadow and some shine to her glasses with my glaze pens. Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. Be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know whatcha think, k? Wanna see some more awesome Back to School ideas? Hop on over to Catch the Bug and take a lookee at all the eye candy from the rest of the Bugaboo Stamps DT. Come on and play along with this week's challenge.... You could win up to 7 FREE images from Bugaboo Stamps! Woo-hoo!! Have a SUPER Saturday!! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's a Razzle Dazzle Day & Happy Birthday Dinky #3

Whew!! See, I told ya she has me wrapped around her little finger!! Bwah-ha-ha-ha! I wouldn't have it any other way! This is the last of my little girl's birthday cards. I made this card for my Mom and Dad to give to her at her birthday party tomorrow. Oh boy, I LOVE how this card turned out too!!

Now, of course today is Bellarific Friday and this week's theme was Bling - Razzle Dazzle us with sparkle and shine!! This is the second week of the Bella Babe contest! Wow, did you hens see how many sistahs played along last week? Woo-hoo!! I'm gonna get me a new sistah fer sure! I hope you hens are playing along. I would be thrilled to bits to be on a DT with one of da hens!!

For today's card, I used "You're my #1 abella" from Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. For my bling, I added some yellow Stickles to the polka dots on the #1, and a little blue shine to her necklace with my blue glaze pen. I sponged some ink around the edges and then stitched her to a mat of PTI Dark Chocolate. This DP is from EK Success and I stitched it to mats of PTI Dark Chocolate as well, and stamped the sentiment in the lower left corner. I tied this pretty orange saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and adhered the panels to the card base of SU Brocade Blue. Now what's really cool about this card, is the fold!!

I decided to try this crazy little fold on both ends and let the image be the closure. The top half of the image is adhered using SU dimensionals but the bottom half has a magnet that keeps the card closed. I'm so excited about how this card turned out. I just know she's gonna LOVE it! Okee dokee, be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know whatcha think, k? I hope you hens all have a FABBY Friday!!

Next week's Bellarific Friday challenge is a sketch from Paulabella. Oooh, I LOVEEE this Paula!!

You hens are just AWESOME and I always have such a hard time picking my TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS!! *sigh* But at the same time, I LOVEEEE visiting all your blogs and looking at all the KRAFTY eye candy!! Whoopeee!

I'm sure you remember me telling you, that today is my daughter's birthday and that I had made her THREE cards.... Ok, this is card #2. We're having a birthday party for her on Saturday, so I will give it to her then. Now even though she's 25, she's still my Lil' Dinky and this is how I'll always think of her. I thought this image was perfect because this looks just like her when she was a little girl. Goodness, where does the time go??? *sniff-sniff*

Ok - ok, onto the card..... So I stamped this image from Stamping Bella called "Zoe = The Hearty Mug Girl", part of the Green Bean Baby series. I colored her with my Copics and sponged some ink around the edges. I matted her with some SU Real Red CS and stitched around the edges. Sadly, I don't know who this DP is from, since I accidentally cut the company name off. Sorry about that! Anyhoo, I stitched the DP to the same SU Real Red CS. tied this pretty red saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow, and finished by adhering it to the SU Kraft cardbase.

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today!! Be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know whatcha think and maybe even give a "birthday shout out" to my little chick too!

Happy Birthday Dinky!

Tee-hee!! That's what I call my daughter. Her birthday is tomorrow and so I've made her THREE cards. Yup, that's right, THREE!! Uh-huh, she has me wrapped around her finger alright! She and I are going shopping tomorrow on her birthday, so I made this card to give her before we leave. The inside reads: Spending a day with you, is a SWEET TREAT for me too! Thanks for sharing your day with me! Happy Birthday Dinky!

I think the image is just perfect with the shopping bags and all. I think she'll love it!

Ok, so I started by stamping my image "Sweetybellas" from Stamping Bella onto some Bella's Bestest Paper, colored them with my Copics and sponged some ink around the edges. The DP is from Imaginisce and the green is actually the reverse side of the brown print. I matted the image with some PTI Dark Chocolate and zig zag stitched around the edges. I finished with this BIG green button tied with twine and added the sentiment at an angle across the bottom.

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. Be sure to stop back in tomorrow for That's Krafty Thursday #38. This is a challenge week hens, so get those Kraft cards started. You could be the next "Krafty Chick". I just loveee TKT challenges with da hens!!! {{{hen hugs}}}

IRONING?

Pffft! I bury mine in the back yard!! LOL!!

That's an ol' Phyllis Diller line! I LOVE Phyllis Diller!! That hair of hers, those crazy clothes and of course, that LAUGH!! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! What a hoot!! Remember her husband FANG? Ummm, now that I think about it... that sounds like a pretty good name for mine! ROFL!!

This is Ironing Nikki from Ladybug Crafts Ink. Ain't she cute? I don't know if everyone feels like I do about ironing, but OMG, do I ever HATE it!! I think burying it sounds like a FABBY idea to me. Think about it, then we'd have to go shopping again and again. Sounds like a WIN-WIN to me!! LOL!

Ok, so I stamped Nikki onto some Fanboy CS and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Basic Black, Georgia Pacific White and again on SU Basic Black and then stitched around the edges. I used my SU border punch on the DP and black horizontal pieces and adhered them to the DP with a few dimensionals. I stitched the DP to the SU Basic Black CS, added the computer generated sentiment and finished with some saddle stitched ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow! You likeee??? If so, pop on over to Ladybug Crafts Ink and check out the entire Nikki & Friends collection. You'll be hooked for sure!

It's Bellarific Friday and the Babe hunt is ON!!

Yay! I'm gettin' a new sistah!! You hens did play along today right? Pleeeeease say you wanna be my new sistah!! *sniff-sniff* Oh goodie, I was hoping you did! Yippee-Skippee, a new sistah is on the way!!

Today is the 1st Bellarific Friday of the Bella Babe contest! You must participate in ALL four August Bellarific Friday's to be considered, so keep those cards a comin'!! Today's 1st challenge was "Paper Piecing". I LOVEEE this technique! I used "The Big Guy Grillin" from Stamping Bella and I paper pieced his shirt. This technique is particularly handy when there is a large area to cover like "The Big Guy's" shirt! Works like a charm! The image was stamped onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored with my Copics. I matted him with some PTI Dark Chocolate CS and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. This DP is from Flair Designs and is SO perfect with all it's BBQ sentiments! Love it!! The table cloth DP is from Flair Designs as well, and adds a great picnic feel too! I matted the DP with some SU Real Red and then onto some scratch white CS and stitched around the edges. What?? No bow!! Yeah, I know, but it's going to my cousin Billy so "no bows on a guy card!" Hmmmph!! They don't know what they're missin'!! Hellloooooo???

Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think, k? Next week's Bellarific Friday theme is BLING! So Razzle & Dazzle us with your BESTEST work!! Have a FABULOUS Friday!! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions!

Mornin' hens!! Yep, today's the day!! Release day that is.... Today I made another cute little project with the Take Note set being released today from Taylored Expressions. This was a really simple project and I can honestly say, my Mom LOVED it! She and my Dad are big campers and they LOVE visiting all the different parks. She always keeps a listing of her favorite sites in each park so I thought I'd make her this little journal to keep track of them in. This is just a spiral index card notebook and I decorated the front with some CS, DP, ribbon, and of course my Take Note label set! I stamped the label onto some Choice Snow White CS and stamped the sentiment inside. Then I added these little red brads to each side of the label and adhered it to the DP with a few dimensionals. I matted the DP to the CS and adhered the piece to the front of the notebook. Then I finished by tying the ribbon around the front and made a pen to match! That's it! Super simple and what a fun little gift to give. Ok, I hope you've enjoyed my sneak peeks this week. Be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know whatcha think, k? Don't forget to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some more great ideas using the two new sets being released today from Taylored Expressions! See ya back a little later for today's Double Post Friday! {{{hen hugs}}}

TE Sneak Peek Day 2

Hey hens... it's That's Krafty Thursday #37 AND Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 2!! Woo-hoo!! Lot's of fun today!

Today's card features the new set "Tweet Heart" that will be released tomorrow over at Taylored Expressions. This set has a couple of birds, a branch, a bird bath, a border and all sorts of little phrases too! I decided to make a fairly simple Thank You card today that you can whip up in no time. Sets like these are so handy when you need a quick little card and being they're silhouette images, NO COLORING IS REQUIRED! Easy peasy!! Ok, so I started by stamping my little bird onto some Choice Snow White CS with some brown dye ink and then cut him out with my circle punch. Then I added dots around the image with my Adirondack Dimensional Pearls in Expresso. I'm gettin' a lot of use outta that stuff, huh? LOL!! Ok, then once it was dry, I matted the image onto some brown CS punched with my scalloped circle punch and I matted the DP with the brown CS as well. I tied this pretty brown satin ribbon vertically into a cute bubbly bow and to finish, I stamped one of the many sentiments in this set on the bottom right corner and added one of these cute little butterflies to the top right corner. Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Be sure to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some more great ideas using this cute little set. See ya back in the hen house tomorrow!! Have a T-RIFIC Thursday! {{{hen hugs}}}

TE Sneak Peek Day 1

Hi there hens!! Are ya ready for another round of Sneak Peeks from Taylored Expressions?? Woo-hoo!! Today's sneak peek is featuring a new set being released this Friday called "Take Note". This set contains three labels and multiple sentiments too! I can think of a ton of different note pads to make with this set and what fun gifts they make too. Take for instance my little Grocery Lists notepads here. I made these for my Sister, Sister in Law and Aunt and they all three LOVED 'em!!

I started by stamping the label onto some Choice CS and then used two of the sentiments in the set "Grocery" and "List" and stamped them inside. These little Post It Notes are the 4x4 size and worked perfectly with the 8 1/2 x 11 CS from Taylored Expressions. Using the short side of the CS, I cut the CS just a little wider then the pad and scored the center with two parallel lines a 1/4" apart. This fit the notepad perfectly and I was able to make two from one sheet of CS. I used some Sticky Tape on the back side of the notepad to adhere it to the CS and then I decorated the front with some DP, ribbon, and my label of course.

Then I just HAD to make matching pens!! Tee-hee!! Oh yeah, this was HARD!! Pffftt!! Seriously, it took like one minute!! All ya gotta do is roll some of the DP into tubes and slide it into the barrel of the pen and that's it! What a great little addition to the notepads and super simple to boot! Taylored Expressions is also offering a new line of dies that coordinate with this set too! You're sure to want to include these with this set for easy cutting of the labels. Now to finish my little notepads, I adhered a business card magnet to the back, so you can hang them on the fridge, and I also added a little magnet to the pen and top corner of the notepad so the pen will always be handy!! If you're like me, seems I always have the pen or the pad but never BOTH!! Ok, that's it for me today, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think, ok? Wanna see some more great ideas for the Take Note set? Check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen below!

Congratulations Cheryl!

Woo-hoo! My daughter's BFF Cheryl just bought a house and she's jumping outta her skin she's so excited. She's been renting for years and this is her FIRST home!! What a terrific feeling! So to celebrate her happy day, my daughter asked me to make her a card to go along with a house warming gift. I'm sure you guessed she had to twist my arm too!! LOL!!

I started by stamping "Bella Dream House" from Stamping Bella onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored it with my Copics. I sponged around the edges and stitched it to a double mat of SU Cool Carribean and PTI Dark Chocolate CS. This DP is from October Afternoon's Weathervane collection and the green checkered DP is actually the reverse side of the houses. I punched a little white picket fence with my Martha Stewart border punch and placed it between the two DP's and finished with some brown checkered ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow. That's it from the hen house today, be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know what ya think, ok?

Oh and I'm sure you won't wanna miss this week's Tantalizing Toosday sale over at Stamping Bella. You never know what AWESOME deals you'll find and of course, CAN'T live without! LOL!
Have a Tee-rific Toosday!! {{{hen hugs}}}

The cat's outta the bag!!

LOL!! I just LOVE this image!! It's called, "the cat's out of the bag" and it's from none other than Stamping Bella. I'm sure I can think of a ton of uses for it too, like maybe "Congratulations on your exciting news!", or "You're ANOTHER year older!" just to name a few! I love versatile images like this, that can be used for different occasions.

Ok, so I dug through my paper and found this cute little kitty paper that I thought would be purrr-fect and I colored my kitty to match! I stamped the image onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored it with my Copics. I cut it out and matted it with some coordinating DP and again onto some orange CS. The DP is from Reminisce and I stitched it onto the same orange CS and then adhered it to the cardbase of SU Brocade Blue. To finish, I tied this pretty orange saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and added the sentiment to the top corner. Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. I hope all you hens have a MARVELOUS Monday! {{{hen hugs}}}
