ABC Monday!!

Anything But a Card Monday, that is.... Today I thought I'd do a Christmas gift card holder for ya! Now this is SUPER simple, and I can just see you makin' a ton of these in no time. Seriously!!

Ok, first of all HERE'S where you can find the pattern for the gift card holder itself. Just download the free PDF file and cut the pattern pieces from both your CS and DP. I put a small velcro closure under the flap so it was easier to open and close.

Next, I printed Fruitcake Stella from the Stella Christmas line at Bugaboo Stamps and colored her with my Copics. I punched her out with my circle punch and stitched her onto the SU Real Red scalloped circle. I tied this grosgrain ribbon in a cute bubbly bow and that's it! I mean, really quick and SUPER cute too! Woo-hoo!! I love that!

This is the inside... (snort!)
Did I ever tell you my middle name is GRINCH?? LOL!!

You're a MEAN ONE Mrs. Grinch!!
Have a MAH-VELOUS Monday!

After two years of doing the Black Friday grind, I'm considering my self officially BROKE IN!! LOL!! Ok, so I was torn between Stella and Ruby and finally decided on Ruby. Both ladies are SO stinkin cute it's not funny and they're sassy to boot! Right up my alley! This is "Don't hate me" from the Ruby Tidbits selection at Bugaboo Stamps. I printed Ruby onto some Manga Fanboy CS and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Sahara Sand and then SU Chocolate Chip and stitched around the edges. I adhered the image to this DP, from the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather collection (I'm really gettin' my use outta this collection, huh?) and finished with this great grosgrain ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow! Wanna see some more inspiration? Head on over to the Catch the Bug Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT's fabby creations. That's it from the hen house today. Uhh, it's an ALL WHITE - BLACK Friday??

Ok, that kinda sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it? Yep today is BLACK FRIDAY but it's also Bellarific Friday and our theme this week was an ALL WHITE card. Uh-huh, that's right! Needless to say, I was some kinda nervous about this one! But ya know what, I LOVE it! Ain't it a beaut?? Gotta admit, I might just have to use this design again.

I've gotta be kinda quick today since I've got some SERIOUS shopping to do with my DD, so here we go....

This is "a SNOWMAN and a CARDINAL" from Stamping Bella.
This is one of the new releases from Mo Manning in Rubbah over at Stamping Bella.com. If you haven't seen the newest Mo line, you've gotta go check 'em out! LOVE MO's images!! Ok, I colored my image with my Copics and matted it to some grey CS (I hope that counts as a shade of white!) and stitched around the edges. I embossed the second layer of SU Whisper White with my Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder and then finished by adding some glitter to my snowman and then tying this white satin ribbon into a cute bubbly bow! I really LOVE this card. Clean but pretty! Wanna see some more ideas for this challenge? Be sure to check out the rest of the Bella Babes over at Bloggabella, where you can also see all the eye candy from the sistahood too. Next week's Bellarific Friday theme is SNOW! Have a Beary Merry Christmas!

Happy 2sday hens!! Are you gettin' ready for the BIG FEAST on Thursday??? Boy I am.... I've got the 'ol ELASTIC waistband pants all laid out, cuz I want lot's of room for the ever EXPANDING belly!! Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!! Oooooh man, there ain't nothin' like Thanksgiving dinner and then to top that off, ALL those PIES!! And you hens know how I am with my sweets!! Mmm-mmm!

We'll be gathering at my brother's house again this year! Yay!! We had such a great time last year. I just LOVE gettin' together with my family! We'll have to head home early though, so we can get LOTS of sleep so my daughter and I can get up early (try 1:00 am early!!) and get in on those Black Friday deals!! Now that's what I'm talkin' about!

Ok, enough about my plan of attack and let's get onto today's card. This card will be entered into the Card Patterns Sketch #91 challenge. Here's the sketch:

This little image called "Polar Bear Circle" is one of the few images I don't own from Stamping Bella. My sistah Paulabella sent me two of them in one of my many goodie packages from her. I know, I'm SO lucky to have a sistah like Paulabella!! Mwah!! I colored both images with my Copics and then cut one of the images out and adhered to the remaining image with a few dimensionals for a really cool 3D look. I cut the image out with my Circle Nestabilities and added it to the DP with a few dimensionals. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather collection and I stitched it onto the card base of SU Very Vanilla. To finish, I printed the sentiment and punched it out with my SU small oval punch and matted it with the coordinating DP punched with the SU large oval punch. I tied this pretty ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and there ya have it!! A BEARY MERRY CHRISTMAS card! Just a reminder, this week's Bellarific Friday theme is All White! That's everything white (or shades of) except for the image itself. This should be a super cool challenge! Just email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by Thursday evening. You might win some cool Bella Bucks!

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. Don't forget to enter my That's Krafty Thursday challenge this week. If you're one of the TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS, you'll receive 3 FREE images of your choice from the sponsor. Woo-hoo!! So get those cards linked up to my TKT post from November 18th!! You have until tomorrow night (Wed) at 7:00pm EST to enter. Have a TEE-RIFIC Tuesday! {{{hen hugs}}}

Guess where I went???

Yep, Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Orlando! My daughter had been wanting to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas, so I talked my hubby into going and boy did we have a BLAST!!

Here's Cinderella's castle... ain't it GORGEOUS all lit up??

This is Main Street. If you see little specks of white in the photos that's because it was SNOWING! (Soap bubbles that is....) LOL!! It was GREAT!! It was pretty cold for Florida too so it made for a perfect night! They even handed out Hot Chocolate and cookies!! YUM!!

The Spotted Chick and Chicklet!! Mwah!

Dumbo The Flying Elephant Ride (My daughter's favorite as a little girl, so we had to ride it again!!) I'm not shy!! Pffft!

The parade was SO COOL and these toy soldiers were AMAZING!! No doubt, my absolute favorite part!! The way they danced was like watching the video "Thriller"!! UBER COOL!! Well that's what I did this weekend, so needless to say, I had MAJOR FUN!! Hope you hens all have a Marvelous Monday!! I'll be back tomorrow with a card for ya!! {{{hen hugs}}}

What a night....

Whew, I bet Santa must take a 72 hour nap after his LOOOOOONG night on Christmas Eve. LOL!!

I've been dying to use this image so I decided to ink it up for today's Bellarific Friday card. Today's theme was a sketch from our own Cathybella.

Talk about a simple card, this was a SUPER simple card but I really like how it turned out even if it didn't take hours to complete. I decided to flip the sketch and stamped my image "Santa's clothes a dryin" from Stamping Bella onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored it with my Copics. I stitched the image onto some SU Basic Black and then adhered it to this DP from My Minds Eye - The Merry Days of Christmas. To finish, I tied this pretty black saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and added a cute little tag underneath. Super simple but super cute!!
HO-HO-HO!!

Wanna see some more fabulous ideas using this sketch? Hop on over to Blogabella and see all the entries from the Bella Babes and the sistahood too! Did you know you can win FREE Bella Bucks just for leaving a comment on Bloggabella? Uh-huh!! You sure can!! But you can win even more if you enter a card for next week's Bellarific Friday theme. Wanna give it a go? Come on... the theme next week is White. Yep, that's it! The only color on the card is the image. Hmmmm? Ok, that's a new one for me. Gonna have to give that one some serious thought!! Just email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by Thursday November 25th. Be sure to pop back in later today for a double post Friday!! That's Krafty Thursday #42

Mornin' hens!! Ready for another That's Krafty Thursday challenge?? Woo-hoo!! Well you know I am!! I just love seein' all the Krafty ideas from the hens... Ahhhh, all that Kraft CS does my heart good!! Tee-hee!!

Now to get you hens started with a little inspiration, here's a card I made with a digital image from a BRAND SPANKIN new company called Stamp Fairy. Gerda (the owner) was SO sweet to send me "George" and asked if I'd like to make a card with him. Ummmm, HELLLLOOOO?? Who wouldn't?? Isn't he just the cutest wee snowman EVAH?? I just LOVE him!!

I decided to do something a little different with him and printed him directly onto some Kraft CS and colored him with my Koh-i-noor pencils. These pencils are fabulous for coloring on darker CS and the white just pops off that Kraft, doesn't it? The ornament was colored with my Copics and I added some shimmer to it with my Gelly Roll glitter pen. The snow was done with my new Viva Decor Glitter Liner pen in Holo Iridescent. This stuff is AWESOME! Another Christmas card down and only a bazillion to go!! ***sigh***

I hope this little card gets your MOJO rarin' to go cuz I wanna see those Krafty cards of yours... Just submit your card below using Mr. Linky by Wednesday, November 24th at 7pm and I'll pick the Top Three Krafty Chicks from all the submissions AND not only will you be dubbed the next KRAFTY CHICK but Gerda has generously offered to sponsor my challenge this week and give each of the TKT winners three digital images of their choice from Stamp Fairy!! Woo-hoo!!!

Wanna play?? The only requirement for my challenge is to use Kraft CS somewhere on your card. You don't have to use a Stamp Fairy image, but if you'd like to give them a try, CLICK HERE to be taken to the FREEBIE page at Stamp Fairy. Wow! SUPER CUTE images for FREE!! It don't get no better than that!!

Ok Santa...

... the gift goes right here!! LOL!! My husband said I should put my name right across her forehead. Why whatever does he mean??? SPOILED??? Me???? Certainly he must be joking!! Pffft! Yeah, I am... (but don't tell him!) LOL!!

Ok, so I stamped "Bossy" (yeah, he'd probably agree with that name too!)from Stamping Bella, onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I stitched her to some SU Cherry Cobbler CS and adhered her to this cute DP from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather collection.

I wanted to enter a challenge this week so I decided on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #75. Here's the sketch...

For the ribbon, I added this pretty lace from Paper Studio's Spare Parts and to finish, I punched the sentiment out with my scalloped circle punch and then adhered it with a dimensional to a scalloped circle punched from the SU Cherry Cobbler.

Ok, that's it from the hen house. I hope you all have a tee-rif-fic Tuesday and I'll see ya back in the hen house on Thursday with another That's Krafty Thursday challenge. {{{hen hugs}}}

On Dasher....

... and I do mean "ON" Dasher!! LOL!! Tracy seems to be having herself a good 'ol time dressing up Dasher but I think she better put the 'ol fella on a diet before Christmas Eve or he won't be worth two cents to Santa!! Check out that gut!! Lands sake, I think he's been snitching Mrs. Claus' cookies on the side, whatcha think? Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!

This little image called Tracy and Reindeer is from Ladybug Crafts Ink. I stamped the image onto some Fanboy CS and colored it with my Copics. Now I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this before, but LCI stamps are clear stamps, so of course placement is a snap. But if you're like me, you've probably used clear stamps in the past that leave those splotchy lines and have since shied away from them. Well if that's the case, ya gotta give these LCI stamps a try!! I must say these stamps lay down a PERFECT image. The lines are crisp and clean even on an image as detailed as this one. I don't know what they've done to improve them, but these LCI stamps are definitely top of the line when it comes to clear stamps.

Ok, so to finish up, I added some gold glitter to the bells and then stitched the image onto some SU Early Expresso CS. This DP is from Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding collection and I added this striped grosgrain ribbon, also from Stampin Up, tied in a cute bubbly bow. Ya'll knew I couldn't go too long without my bubbly bows!! Ahhh, feels good to get back into the grove of things.

Well that does it for me today. Hope you hens all have a MARVELOUS Monday and I'll see ya back in the hen house bright and early tomorrow morning!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Stamps - Ladybug Crafts Ink; DP - Basic Grey; CS - SU Early Expresso, Manga Fanboy; Ribbon - Stampin Up; Copics; Ink - Momento Tuxedo Black

You're SO Tweet!!

Hiya hens!! Happy Saturday to ya!! But today ain't no ordinary Saturday though... Nope, it's the start of another Catch the Bug Challenge. And guess what the theme is???? World Kindness Day!! Awwww, ain't that tweet!! Dudn't that just getcha all choked up?? *sniff-sniff*

Ok-Ok... so think kindness, friendship, gratitude, encouragement, congratulations, etc. but that's not all, here's a sketch from Scrappy to follow too!

This was a great combination for me. It's always a good idea to have THANK YOU cards on hand, ain't that right?

So for my card I decided to use Summer Dress from the Spring Bird collection over at Bugaboo Stamps. I'm lovin' those stick legs!! Mine are only a wee bit bigger... Pfffft!!! More like 4,000 times as BIG! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! Ok, so I printed her out on some Canson Fanboy paper and colored her with my Copics. I paper pieced her bow and her puffy sleeves but colored everything else. I stitched her onto some SU Real Red CS and then adhered the image to the DP from My Minds Eye Quire Contrary collection. I added some red ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow and there ya have an easy peasy Thank You card!! Ok, I hope my little card inspired you to make a card for the challenge but if that's not enough, hop on over to the Catch the Bug challenge blog and take a gander at all the SUH-WEET cards from the Bugaboo DT. What?? That's not enough either.... Hmmmm??? Well how about 50% off Bugaboo Stamps images during November??? Ha!! I knew that'd getcha!! Ok, hurry up and get those cards submitted. You might just win some FREE images!! Wow, that's even better than 50% off!! Woo-hoo!! Have fun shopping, but I'm gonna warn, you can't pick just one...... they're addicting!! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's a HOLIDAY Bellarific Friday!!

Woo-hoo!! And this is right up my alley cuz I so need to get a bunch of my Christmas cards finished. Whew!! Today's Bellarific Friday theme was Holiday or Christmas. So of course I couldn't resist using cutie patootie Mavis. Ain't she a doll?? I wuv Mavis!!

Ok, so I stamped "Mavis wearing Holly" onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I stitched her to a mat of SU Cherry Cobbler and adhered her to this cute DP from My Minds Eye's Signature Christmas collection I bought last year. Now, after the massive clean out of the old nest, I have promised myself NOT to buy new papers without TRYING to use up the older packs first. (Note the word TRYING!) I know, it's gonna be hard but I'm gonna do my BESTEST!!

Ok, onto the finishing touches!! I just LOVEEEE this snowflake design. I know I use it every year but I do love the look. Here's how ya do it. I took my larger EK Success snowflake punch and punched a snowflake from the SU Cherry Cobbler CS and then used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch with the SU Sahara Sand CS. Then I coated them both with some YES glue and dipped them into Diamond Dust and adhered them both with an older decorative brad. I know, I know.... no bow!! OMG, it's killin' me too!! But I thought it was already busy enough so I decided to stop there. **sigh**

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. Don't forget to pop over to Bloggabella and check out the rest of the Bella Babes and the sistahood for some more FANTASTIC holiday cards to get your MOJO going. Next week's Bellarific Friday theme is a sketch from one of our newest Babes Cathybella!!

Another Christmas card...

Man, where does the time go??? Wasn't it just the first day of Fall? Good grief, it's almost Vereran's Day! I hope you hens don't get tired of Christmas cards, because that's gonna be the majority of my posts through December. Taking two months off put me WAY behind on my cards. YIKES!!

So, guess what I did this past weekend? A YARD SALE!! I know, just shoot me right? OMG, it's was a TON of work, but after the renovations, there was SO much JUNK to get rid of it wasn't funny. Now, if it was up to me, I'd have taken a front end loader and pushed that crap right out of my garage and straight to the curb as garbage, but NO.... the hubby says, "we can sell this stuff and maybe get some money for it." Hmmmph!! Sooo, we spent the whole day dealing with bargain shoppers (and I do mean BARGAIN SHOPPERS!!) but I must say, we made more than I thought we would. We made a whopping $600!! Not bad and it helped pay for some of my goodies!! Woo-hoo!! My motto before we even started the yard sale was, "it's not coming back into the house!" So with that in mind, stuff went pretty fast since I was selling it dirt cheap. My price for about 99% of everything was $1. That seemed to be the magic number for the BARGAIN SHOPEERS. LOL!! Whew, now that's done so I can finally have my garage back and we can get back to normal. Ahhhhhhh, it feels so good!!

Oh yeah, today's card, well like I said, I had to get to work on my Christmas cards so I pulled out this super cute image called, "who me" from Stamping Bella. Isn't he the cutest? I stamped my little guy onto some Bella's Bestest paper and colored him with my Copics. This DP is from My Minds Eye and came with a sheet of die cuts, so I used the snowman along side my image. I added some glitter and clear glaze to the bottom of the image to simulate snow and ice and tied on the pretty red satin ribbon to finish.

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. Hope you all have a marvelous Monday and dont' forget to enter my TKT challenge by 7:00pm Wednesday. Who knows, you might just be the next Krafty Chick!! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's Bellarific Friday!!

Woo-hoo!! Boy it sure feels good to be back participating in my BF challenges with all the Babes and Sistahs!! Soooo, did you hens all make a card for the 1, 2, 3 challenge? Hmmmm?? I REALLY loved this challenge. 1 image, 2 patterned papers, and 3 embellishments. I hope the two brads and the bubbly bow count as 3!! LOL!! I just LOVE this image "I even love the box" from Stamping Bella. But then again, who doesn't LOVE the images from Mo Manning?? They're always SO cute and this little guy is no exception. Isn't that the way it always is, you buy what you think is the most perfect gift and yet they end up liking the BOX more!! Kids!! *sigh*

Ok, so I stamped my little guy onto some Bella's Bestest paper and colored him with my Copics. I paper pieced the wrapping paper with the background DP so it looked more like real wrapping paper. I really like the look of that. I matted the image with some SU Real Red CS and used some more of that yummy Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather DP. Ooooh, LOVE that plaid!! To finish, I added the two brads and tied this pretty red grosgrain ribbon into a cute bubbly bow! There ya go, another Christmas card wrapped up! Or make that unwrapped!! Tee-hee!! And guess what? Next week's Bellarific Friday challenge is a Christmas or Holiday themed card. Perrrrrrfect!! I'm going to be doing several of those in the following weeks so this is a great challenge for me. Be sure to submit your card to emily@stampingbella.com before next Friday and you could win some cool Bella Bucks from Stamping Bella. Hey hens!!! Well first off, thank you all SO MUCH for the SUH-WEET comments on Monday's post. I'm just grinnin' from eat to ear that you all missed me while I was gone. Oh and thanks for all the nice words about my new nest. It really is a beautiful little room and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

So, are ya ready for a card? Hmmm? How 'bout a That's Krafty Thursday card AND a challenge too??? Are ya up for it? I know it's been awhile but it's time to blow the dust off that Kraft CS, k? I know your just dying to be named the next Krafty Chick. Wanna play along in my challenge? Here's all ya gotta do. Make a card using Kraft CS and link it below using Mr. Linky by next Wednesday, November 10th at 7:00PM EST. I'll pick the TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS from all the entries and post thumbnails of each winner next Thursday. Each of the TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS will also receive Clara the Krafty Chick badge for their blog. Ain't she a cutie?? I LOVEEEE Clara!! LOL!! Ok, that's all ya gotta do. Purty simple huh? Need some inspiration to get you started? Ok, well here's a little Christmas card I made using "ilovetoshopabella" from Stamping Bella. Looks like me on Black Friday. LOL!! I started by stamping my image onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Basic Black and stitched around the edges. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's new Mitten Weather collection that I couldn't wait to break into. Love the colors in this paper pack! I finished with some saddle stitched ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow and there ya have it. One card down and way too many to go!! Ho-hum!! Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think. I hope you all have a TEE-REE-FIC Thursday. Now let's see what KRAFTY creation you come up with. {{{hen hugs}}}

I'm baaaaaack!!

Hi'ya hens!! Did ya miss me?? I sure missed you all, that's for sure! My DH and I have been working non-stop since the last week of August on this renovation and even though there are a few odds and ends that we still need to finish, for the most part, WE'RE DONE!! Whew!!

Sooooo, ya wanna see the new nest??? Well, first I gotta show you where I was working.... (I'm SO embarassed, but Meahni said I HAD to show the BEFORE photos!) Uggggghh!

(BEFORE)

Check out those 1980's curtains and the stenciling on the walls. All together now... ewwwwweeeee!! OMG! What a pack rat! Seriously, every nook and cranny was stuffed with supplies! However, one of the BEST things about my OLD room was those JetMax cubes, which I absolutely LOVE! My daughter bought them for me for Christmas a few years ago to help me organize my stuff. They're SO fabulous that I decided I wanted even more in my new nest. LOL!! Wanna see how it finally turned out???

(AFTER)

Ain't it purty??? Needless to say, I'm in LUUUUUVVV!! First of all, let me tell you about the JetMax cubes. They're designed to sit on top of each other but the stuff I had in mine was SO heavy they were actually pulling apart and tilting too. So for my new nest, my DH built that super duper fabulous frame that you see around them, so they're real sturdy now. He put shelves in between each layer and even built a solid back for them too, so they're totally supported on all sides. Looks just like a custom cabinet, huh?

Look at all that counter space!! LOVE IT! I think my coloring space before was about a 12x12 square! Pffft! See the cool little electrical outlet my DH installed in the backsplash? He's amazing! And of course, I can't stop staring at my new floors! Ahhhhh! That's Brazillian Koa. It's so pretty with all the different color variations in that wood.

Would you look at that bright light for my work space. Isn't it perfect? I have to admit, it took forever to find an under the cabinet light that was EXACTLY 36" though. Seems every package claims they are but they're actually 36.5, which was too big! But we finally found one and a daylight bulb too! Tah-dah!! Now you're probably wondering what took so long to do this, right? Well, everything you see here was done by my DH and lil' ol' me! We didn't hire any of this work done. We installed everything ourselves and even put down a new sub floor under the new wood floor.

Yep, that's a REAL solid hardwood floor. Each little 3" wide plank was nailed down, one by one. We installed all the cabinets, did all the painting and even ran cable so I could have a TV in my stamp room! We also installed these solid wood floors throughout the upstairs, and if that weren't enough, we decided to paint the master bedroom and bath too! Think I'm pooped? You betcha! I'm ready for some serious relaxing! Time to turn on that TV and begin some much needed CARD THERAPY! Awwwwkk!! Well that does it for the OPEN ROOM tour of the new nest! LOL!! Leave me a cluck below and let me know whatcha think, k? {{{hen hugs}}}
